Finally.....

So I been away for kinda a while working out something, I now finally have a job at Primark which is great. I also joined a gym which might seem weird considering I have been blogging about healthy living and all since June so most people would assume that I already went to the gym but no that was mainly because my local gym wanted £50+ a month and then Pure gym finally came to us. (its opening on Thursday gonna be there for sure).  Puregym is also a 24 hour gym so you dont have to worry about opening and closing times which is great.

So I finally joined a gym which means that I will be blogging more about going to the gym, workout ideas, pre-workout snacks/drinks, etc

Also it would be great if you could let me know what you guys what to read or for me to blog about,  I will leave all my links below as always please feel free to chat anytime.

Cucumber Boats with Spiced Yogurt

Cucumber Boats with Spiced Yogurt
I've always thought the secret to getting kids to eat what their parents like is to remember to adapt your favorite flavors to your child's palate. If your kid isn't ready for strongly-flavored Indian curries, this could be the introduction that works: a familiar food, lightly spiced and presented in a fun way.
  • Small cucumbers
  • Small container of plain yogurt
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Cumin
Halve cucumbers lengthwise and scoop out seeds. (A melon baller works great for this.) Mix some plain yogurt, a couple of pinches of sugar, a pinch of salt and a dash of cumin in a bowl. Spread into hollowed cucumbers.

These are perfect for after school or for a summer picnic

10 Beauty life hacks that will change your life...

  1. Spike your concealer - Mix liquid highlighter with your under eye concealer to create your own brightening concealer. Two parts concealer to 1 part highlight. Adjust as preferred.
  2. Re purpose your mascara brush - Save the mascara wand from your pricier mascaras to maximise your cheaper formulas — i.e., a Benefit They're Real brush is plastic and easy to clean and reuse in your drugstore faves. It will really maximise that formula.
  3. Make liquid eyeliner - Mix eye drops with shadow to create a custom liquid liner. Dip a brush into some eye drops or mix together on your hand.
  4. Revive old eyeliner - Use eye drops to revive gel liners. Eye drops are sterile and safe for the eye area obviously so you're in the clear.
  5. Use bronzer as eye shadow - Use a bronzer as a transition color in your crease. I do it all the time and it's an awesome way to multitask and get your money's worth.
  6. Prevent smudged eyeliner - Draw eyeliner directly onto your brush to apply a soft, smudged line. This is quicker, softer and easier than lining and then smudging.
  7. Use face oil to revive makeup at the end of the day - Dip your wet beauty blender into moisturizer or facial oil to revive makeup and add glow. Concentrate on the highest points of your face, mainly cheekbones. You'll be highlighted san sparkle.
  8. Use concealer as eye primer instead of buying it - Use concealer on lids as an eye primer. Until eye primer really became a thing, I always did this. It cancels out any veins and discoloration and gives your shadow something to adhere to.
  9. Create the straightest eyeliner lines - Use a business card to create perfectly-angled winged liner. Angle a business card from the outer corner of your eye upwards and draw along it with your liner. Bam! Perfect line, every time.
  10. Make a lip scrub with what you already own - No need to spend $10 on a lip scrub when you can duplicate the effect by dipping your finger in olive oil, followed by white or brown sugar and scrubbing across lips. Follow with lip balm and your pout is perfected.

Best ways to revise

So we are coming up towards the end of the exam season which means come august if you've failed any subject you are going to be able to resit most of them in November so here are my top revision tips for exams.

Tip 4
    Tip 5
  1. Start revising early
  2. Don't spend ages making your notes look pretty— this is just wasting time. For diagrams, include all the details you need to learn, but don't try to produce a work of art. Limit yourself to 2 or 3 colours so you don't get carried away colouring things in.
  3. Take short breaks - every hour, not every 10 minutes.
  4. Use revision guides
  5. this will enable you to revise by osmosis. If you are going to do this , it's best not to learn anything until the night before the exam. Stick a revision guide under your pillow and when you wake the next day, you'll find the full contents of the book have been absorbed into your brain.
  6. During study leave, start revising early - i.e. 9 am — that way you'll get your day's work done much quicker and will have time to relax in the evening.
  7. Stick revision notes all around your house
  8. Get yourself drinks and snacks - so you don't make excuses to stop every 10 minutes...
  9. Try reading difficult bits in funny accents - french 'Bonjour Mr Shakespeare'
  10. Sit at a proper desk. Don't try to revise in bed — you'll be in the land of pink igloos and elephants before you can say "Captain Birdseye".
